Mr. Trump, Islam does not hate us

Mr. Trump, blaming Islam amounts to barking at the wrong tree.

Washington, D.C.  March 10, 2016 – Mr. Trump in an interview to CNN Anchor, Anderson Cooper said, “There’s an unbelievable hatred of us, we have got to get to the bottom of it, and there is unbelievable hatred of us.”Anderson interjects, “In Islam itself?” Trump responds, “You have to figure that out, ok, you will get another Pulitzer.” (Video)


He continues, “We have to be very vigilant, very careful and we cannot allow people coming into this country with this hatred of us”.

I want to assure Mr. Trump that Islam does not hate America, nor does Islam kill people, just as Guns don’t kill, but individuals do. 

Mr. Trump is seeking guidance when he says, “we have to get to the bottom of it” and I am pleased to offer my services to coach him in Islam and Muslim psyche.

Jesus did not give permission to Christians to go on the crusades, inquisitions, genocides of Native Americans, Holocaust, Bosnia and massacres etc? It is not Christians, but the men who did not get Christianity committed those crimes.

Muhammad (pbuh) did not give permission to Muslims to gas the Kurds, commit 9/11, genocide of people in Darfur? He did not give permission to the ISIS animals to forcibly subject Christian, Yazidi and Shia women to sex abuse?  It is not Muslims, but the men who did not get Islam committed those crimes.

If we are inclined to believe in that non-sense, we have a serious responsibility to find the truth, and truth shall set us free.

Bad things happen because those creeps did not get their religion right.
Who do you blame, religion or the creeps?


If you blame the creeps what happens?
 You’ll hunt them down wherever you can find them,  and punish according to restore trust in the society, so no one can live in apprehension or tensions.

If you blame the religion what happens? Mr. Trump, nothing happens! It is the dumbest thing to blame the religion!  Religion is not a being, it is an intangible item, and you cannot shoot, kick, beat, thrash, hang, kill or bury a religion. Let’s not bark at religion, it does not good and no problem will be solved except aimless barking.

Problem remains, people will continue to remain apprehensive and fearful of each other. Let’s find solutions to these problems.

We are indeed committed to build a cohesive America, where no American has to live in Apprehension or fear of each other.

Indeed, America is God’s own country!  It is a representation of everything God has created on this planet from sea to the shining sea.

We are one nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. We are represented by every race, nationality, ethnicity, language, culture and religion. 

We are blessed with every possible faith that you can imagine on the earth, there is no other nation with this many faith representations as we are.

Together as Americans we believe in one God, no God and many God representations;  we believe him to be male, female and genderless; we believe it to be a being, non being and everything;  nameless and innumerable names.
We have green pastures, rivers, mountains, deserts, snow, rainfall, storms; we have cold to hot climates.

We have families who opt to live a simple life with no modern amenities and we families who live in lap of the luxury that is unmatched anywhere.

We believe in our immortal declaration of independence, “
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed;”

Indeed, America is God's own country, a miniature universe represented by all of God's intentional diverse creation. We have the freedom to be who we want to be and achieve whatever we want to be.

Who said History is boring? A way with words

 You are in for a big surprise when you learn the sources of idioms like, ‘dirt poor’,  ‘it cost me an arm and a leg’, ‘bring home the bacon’,  ‘chew the fat’ and ‘kick the bucket’ etc. If you know something that is not here, add it below.  NPR has a program called , ‘a way with words’ it is fascinating to hear the origins of the worlds, and it is worth listening.

An expression whose meaning is not predictable from the usualmeanings of its constituent elements, as kick the bucket or hang one'shead, or from the general grammatical rules of a language, as the tableround for the round table, and that is not a constituent of a larger expression of like characteristics.

There is an old Hotel/Pub in Marble Arch, London, which used to have a gallows adjacent to it. Prisoners were taken to the gallows (after a fair trial of course) to be hanged. The horse-drawn dray, carting the prisoner, was accompanied by an armed guard, who would stop the dray outside the pub and ask the prisoner if he would like ''ONE LAST DRINK''. If he said YES, it was referred to as ONE FOR THE ROAD. If he declined, that prisoner was ON THE WAGON. 

So there you go ... More bleeding history.

They used to use urine to tan animal skins, so families used to all pee in a pot and then once a day it was taken and sold to the tannery. If you had to do this to survive you were "piss poor", but worse than that were the really poor folk, who couldn’t even afford to buy a pot, they "Didn't have a pot to piss in" and were the lowest of the low.

The next time you are washing your hands and complain because the water temperature isn't just how you like it, think about how things used to be.

Here are some facts about the 1500s:  Most people got married in June, because they took their yearly bath in May and they still smelled pretty good by June. However, since they were starting to smell, brides carried a bouquet of flowers to hide the body odor. Hence the custom today of carrying a bouquet when getting married.

Baths consisted of a big tub filled with hot water.  The man of the house had the privilege of the nice clean water, then all the other sons and men, then the women and finally the children. Last of all the babies.  By then the water was so dirty you could actually lose someone in it.  Hence the saying, "Don't throw the baby out with the bath water!" 
   
Houses had thatched roofs, thick straw piled high, with no wood underneath. It was the only place for animals to get warm, so all the cats and other small animals (mice, bugs) lived in the roof.  When it rained it became slippery and sometimes the animals would slip and fall off the roof.  Hence the saying "It's raining cats and dogs."   

There was nothing to stop things from falling into the house. This posed a real problem in the bedroom, where bugs and other droppings could mess up your nice clean bed. Hence, a bed with big posts and a sheet hung over the top afforded some protection. That's how canopy beds came into existence. The floor was dirt. Only the wealthy had something other than dirt. Hence the saying; "dirt poor." The wealthy had slate floors that would get slippery in the winter when wet, so they spread thresh (straw) on floor to help keep their footing. As the winter wore on they added more thresh until, when you opened the door, it would all start slipping outside. A piece of wood was placed in the entrance. Hence: a thresh hold.

In those old days, they cooked in the kitchen with a big kettle that always hung over the fire. Every day they lit the fire and added things to the pot. They ate mostly vegetables and did not get much meat. They would eat the stew for dinner, leaving leftovers in the pot to get cold overnight, and then start over the next day.  Sometimes stew had food in it that had been there for quite a while. Hence the rhyme: ''Peas porridge hot, peas’ porridge cold, pea’s porridge in the pot, and nine days old''.  
Sometimes they could obtain pork, which made them feel quite special. When visitors came over they would hang up their bacon, to show off. It was a sign of wealth that a man could, "Bring home the bacon." They would cut off a little to share with guests and would all sit around talking and ’’chew the fat''.  
Those with money had plates made of pewter. Food with high acid content caused some of the lead to leach onto the food, causing lead poisoning and death.  This happened most often with tomatoes, so for the next 400 years or so, tomatoes were considered poisonous. 

Bread was divided according to status. Workers got the burnt bottom of the loaf, the family got the middle, and guests got the top, or ''The Upper Crust’’.  

Lead cups were used to drink ale or whisky. The combination would sometimes knock the imbibers out for a couple of days. Someone walking along the road would take them for dead and prepare them for burial. They were laid out on the kitchen table for a couple of days and the family would gather around and eat and drink and  wait and see if they would wake up. Hence the custom of ''Holding a Wake''.
 
England is old and small and the local folks started running out of places to bury people, so they would dig up coffins and would take the bones to a bone-house and reuse the grave. When reopening these coffins, 1 out of 25 coffins were found to have scratch marks on the inside and they realized they had been burying people alive. So they would tie a string on the wrist of the corpse, thread it through the coffin and up through the ground and tie it to a bell.  Someone would have to sit out in the graveyard all night (the graveyard shift) to listen for the bell; thus someone could be, ''Saved by the Bell ''or was considered a ''Dead Ringer'' And that's the truth. 

Now, whoever said history was  boring ! ! !

An arm and a leg – when you say, it cost me an arm and a leg – it has to do with pre-photography era, where portraits were painted – usually of face and busts,  as it was expensive to do the full picture, and they artists charged to add and arm and a leg, thus the phrase, “it costs me an arm and a leg”.

Change your Password regularly


I hope you do that regularly, if not, it is a good practice to change your password at least once a month, if you are super active on face book and emails.   Keep different password for face book and your main email account.

Create your own code to remember the password and keep it handy, it’s miserable to forget the password.  Remember to change it on your desktop, laptop, ipad and cell phone.

Ask the people who have lost a whole lot of data, they will tell you the misery of someone messing with your email and face book.  I have not had any trouble with them in the last six months, thank God.

Please do not open any email links you receive, even from your friends, unless they write a note about it, and you know it is them.

Don't give your password to any soul, no matter what tricks they employ in your email.

Just don't give it.

Have a safe internet experience.

Muslims Challenge Al-Baghdadi’s Lunatic Message

Dallas, Texas – May 18, 2015. Al-Baghdadi, the self proclaimed Caliph of ISIL released an audio message on May 14, misrepresenting the values dearly held by millions of Muslims for fourteen centuries.  He said, "Islam was never a religion of peace. Islam is the religion of fighting” and added, “It is the war of Muslims against infidels."

Mike Ghouse, President of America Together Foundation said, “Al-Baghdadi has angered the entire Muslim world, no one thought he would stoop that low to flip the entire religion to suit crimes against Muslims and non-Muslims alike.  My concern is not only his lunatic statement, as many such men have come and gone, but it is the joy expressed by the war mongers that concerns me. It is, as if Baghdadi has reaffirmed their (false) belief about Islam, and now they can continue to malign Islam.”


We are just coming out of the two longest wars; they not only destroyed Iraq and Afghanistan, but cost billions of dollars and affected thousands of lives here in America.  Now the war Mongers want to put boots on the ground again in the Middle East that is not acceptable. 

Al-Baghdadi is a narcissistic dude and is for himself.  The truth is Quran advocates justice with mercy.  It directs the humanity to build cohesive societies where no human has to live in apprehension or fear of the other.  A few verses are referenced below.

The entire Muslim world has condemned Al-Baghdadi,  even the rival countries like Iran and Saudi Arabia have condemned, the OIC representing all of the 57 Muslim nations, British Muslims and American Muslims have condemned it. References are given below.

I hope that we capture Al Baghdadi and his soldiers and put them on trial.  We need to demand proof from Al-Baghdadi to produce support for his claim that, “It is the war of Muslims against infidels” from the Quran.  We hope the world will see that it is neither Islam nor the Quran, it is the bad guys.  The world should not let go of this opportunity to put the ISIL ideology die its own death.  We also urge the war-mongers among us to stop looking for excuses to destroy world peace.

Muslim Condemnations  

Baghdadi may have a force of 31,500 on his side, and thus far he is the only spokesperson for the group, indeed he is the driving force for his self proclaimed Caliphate (rulership).
Threat Matrix reports, “Islamic State fighters in Iraq and Syria number around 20,000 to 31,500 — a figure far higher than previously estimated, the Central IntelligenceAgency has said.”

Saudi Arabia: Saudi Arabia’s Highest Religious Authority:  On August 19, Al Jazeera reported that Saudi Arabia’s grand mufti, Abdulaziz al-Sheikh, the country’s top religious authority, said that terrorism is anti-Islamic and said that groups like the Islamic State which practice violence are the “number one enemy of Islam”

Iran: Ali Shamkhani, the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, addressed the victories of the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) against a fleeing Iraqi military in a meeting with Syria’s ambassador to Iran. “The expansion of terrorist elements of [ISIS] and their violent acts in Iraq was a warning for the region,” Shamkhani said. “There is a need for attention and action from governments and the international community.”
 
USA: On August 15, 2014, the World Muslim congress had called on Muslims to Dedicate Friday Sermons for the Safety of Christians, Yazidis, Shia and Other Minorities at Huffington post. World Muslim Congress of Dallas has urged Obama to go ahead degrade and destroy ISIS in an op-ed at Huffington Post on September 4, 2014.  Just about every American Islamic and Muslim organization has condemned it.  ING has compiled the list.

UK: Huffington Post reported, 100 Sunni and Shiite Imams from the U.K. came together to produce a video denouncing the Islamic State, releasing a statement that they wanted to “come together to emphasize the importance of unity in the UK and to decree ISIS as an illegitimate, vicious group who do not represent Islam in any way.” 

OIC - The Organization of Islamic Cooperation represents all the Muslim majority nations: The Islamic State Has “Nothing to Do with Islam,” Has Committed Crimes “That Cannot Be Tolerated.” 


Quranic Verses

Quran remains a pristine, inclusive book of wisdom committed to building cohesive societies, where no human has to live in apprehension or fear of the other.  
Quran (55: 1-13):  God created an integrated and interconnected world in harmony and balance, and wants us to preserve and maintain that balance.

5:32) (Asad) “Because of this did We ordain unto the children of Israel that if anyone slays a human being-unless it be [in punishment] for murder or for spreading corruption on earth-it shall be as though he had slain all mankind; whereas, if anyone saves a life, it shall be as though he had saved the lives of all mankind.  And, indeed, there came unto them. Quran: (1:1 and 114:1) From the very first verse in the first chapter to last chapter is addressed to the humanity, all the humanity.  Quran is a book of guidance for all.

Dallas Morning News - Interfaith Thanksgiving celebrates volunteers

Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson presided over the 16th annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Celebration on Saturday at Spicy Cuisine Restaurant in Irving. In addition to giving the keynote address, Johnson helped present awards to four individuals for contributions to their communities.
Those honored were Raja Zahid A. Khanzada, a journalist who holds three master’s degrees and certification in alternative medicine; Amina Rab, president of the Council on American Islamic Relations-DFW chapter; Anne Marie Weiss, founder of DFW International; and Sante Santhana Chary, a health care entrepreneur who graduated from Harvard Business School.
Mike Ghouse, president of the America Together Foundation, organized the dinner. The Foundation for Pluralism and the World Muslim Congress also helped with the event.
Ghouse said guests represented many faiths, races and political orientations.
“The purpose of this celebration is to give thanks for the blessed life we all enjoy in the United States,” Ghouse said. “We also want to recognize outstanding Americans for their volunteer efforts to move the nation forward.”

Ghouse on Hannity Show on Fox News Tonite

Sean Hannity offers the conservative perspective, and I will be on his show tonight to offer pluralistic solution on issues of the day. A moderate's point of view for our friends on the right as well as the left, to see the bigger world. I may not talk a whole lot, but I will precisely make a few points.  This must be my 40th or 50th appearance on the show, I don’t keep track of it nor do I save it any more.

In the last few weeks, Sean Hannity has been called names on my forums and the Facebook, what we need to realize is that Hannity is a patriotic American who keep our government in check. I am glad Hannity does not give a pass to Obama or any one. Had he grilled President Bush, we would not have been in the mess we were. Obama should not be spared either, no matter how good he is. 

We don’t have to agree on anything, but we have to talk, even if it is unpleasant. My favorite media heroes are those who nail the respective governments down, and keep them on their toes. Imagine an America without criticism, but without it, our democracy will not be fully functional.
